Conveyance Practice Leader and Sr. Project Manager

Conveyance Practice Leader and Senior Project Manager Location: Oklahoma City, OK, US Black & Veatch, an employee‑owned, global leader in building critical infrastructure, invites applications for a Conveyance Practice Lead / Senior Project Manager focused on water and wastewater projects and programs in Oklahoma City. The role supports the growth of our Water Solutions business by providing world‑class design, planning, and execution services for major pump stations and large‑diameter pipelines. Key Responsibilities Lead major projects or programs from planning through construction, presenting updates to external client stakeholders and supporting decision‑making. Provide oversight of the program schedule and budget using Black & Veatch’s internal processes and manage large inter‑discipline teams of internal and sub‑consultant resources. Lead a team that delivers technical solutions focused on water supply intakes, pump stations, large‑diameter pipelines, tunnels, wastewater lift stations, force mains, and collections systems, including condition assessment and rehabilitation. Provide recommendations on client processes, organization, and readiness to undertake major programs and alternative project delivery. Support the team’s use of risk‑based assessments to develop and prioritize capital improvement programs. Provide project execution, quality control, and technical leadership to support large water and wastewater projects and programs and to identify innovative solutions to maximize benefits to municipalities and utilities. Lead and provide technical expertise to support marketing and business development. Support pursuit, proposal, and project interview activities. Work closely with Client Directors and the Area Director to develop relationships with clients and decision makers in Oklahoma. Help mentor professionals and grow the team by identifying high‑quality candidates and recruits. Preferred Qualifications Professional Engineer (PE) license in Oklahoma. 15+ years of relevant water engineering experience, including water and wastewater infrastructure planning, asset management, CIP optimization, detailed design, and construction. Experience managing large water and wastewater programs and projects. Knowledge of local, federal, and state permitting requirements and funding mechanisms. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and comfort in a client‑facing role discussing technical topics and solutions. Experience providing input and oversight of technical tasks and project teams performing studies and assessments of water and wastewater projects. Proficient with report writing and PowerPoint presentations. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work both within a team and independently. Willing and able to travel to project sites and client meetings as needed. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
