St. Vincent de Paul Cincinnati (SVDP) has served residents of greater Cincinnati for over 150 years with basic needs such as food, medicine, and homelessness prevention through its outreach center in the West End and through fifty-six parish-based volunteer Vincentian Conferences (chapters). The staff pharmacist will lead prescription dispensing and patient consultation activities in the Milford Charitable Pharmacy (813 Main St, Milford, OH 45150). Additionally, the staff pharmacist will participate in medication donation verification in the adjoining Charitable Healthcare Network (CHN) Medication Access Program, collaborating with SVDP's VP of Pharmacy to design, test and implement Ohio's first medication repository. This position will provide direct patient care to underserved patients while developing safe, effective, and efficient intake and distribution of medication donations for the purpose of improving medication access to neighbors in need served by Ohio's Charitable Healthcare Network of free clinics and charitable pharmacies.

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead prescription dispensing and patient consultation activities in a charitable pharmacy (3 days/week)
• Verify medication donations for the purpose of distribution to Ohio's free clinics and charitable pharmacies (2 days/week)
• Collaborate with leadership to design and test processes for the receipt of medication donations from long-term care pharmacies, nursing homes, and individuals, including sorting, inventorying, and cataloguing donations
• Participate in quality improvement and data collection initiatives to further advance the goals of the CHN Medication Access Program

Qualifications: Licensed Ohio pharmacist, strong organizational skills, attention to detail, mission-driven, written and oral communication. Ability to work with people of diverse backgrounds in a faith-based setting.

Work Environment: Staff member will primarily work in a pharmacy and adjoining medication warehouse, adequately lighted, temperature-controlled and ventilated in Milford, Ohio.

Physical Requirements: Walking, standing, bending, carrying items up to 35 lbs, driving an automobile
