Senior Accounting Specialist – Lead Accounts Receivable & Financial Operations for Mosherflo Pumps

Job Overview

• Company: Mosherflo Pumps.
• Salary/Pay Rate: $25.00 to $28.00 per hour.
• Location: Dickinson, Texas.
• Job/Employment Type: Full Time.
• Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
• Project Scope: Manufacturing Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable Backlog Support, and Financial Reconciliations.
• Mandatory Licences & Certifications: None Required.

The Opportunity

You will serve as a senior financial professional taking full ownership of accounts receivable and core accounting workflows for a fast-growing pump manufacturer. Reporting directly to the Accounting Manager, you will streamline financial processes, resolve complex account discrepancies, and maintain accurate records across multiple accounting functions. Working in close collaboration with company leadership, you will help strengthen internal controls and ensure operational stability as the business continues to expand.

How You Will Make an Impact

• Manage day-to-day accounts receivable functions, including customer invoicing, payment posting, and account maintenance.
• Monitor outstanding customer balances and execute systematic follow-up procedures to drive timely collections.
• Perform detailed bank, credit card, vendor, and customer account reconciliations to ensure record accuracy.
• Review vendor invoices for proper coding, appropriate approvals, and complete supporting documentation.
• Communicate concise updates directly to the owner and Accounting Manager regarding financial priorities and progress.
• Assist with month-end closing, year-end procedures, and the preparation of tax support documentation.
• Identify accounting inconsistencies and lead cleanup initiatives to improve internal controls and workflows.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Several years of hands-on accounting experience covering accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger reconciliation.
• Advanced proficiency in invoicing, payment application, bill processing, and financial record keeping.
• Strong communication skills with a proven ability to provide concise status updates to executive leadership.
• Demonstrated ability to resolve complex account discrepancies and navigate incomplete financial records independently.
• Solid computer skills, including expertise in Microsoft Excel, accounting software, and digital document management.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

• Direct working experience with Traverse ERP software.
• Previous accounting background in manufacturing, industrial distribution, construction, or a job-costing environment.
• Experience supporting sales tax reporting, payroll tax preparation, or year-end financial audits.

Compensation & Benefits

• Competitive hourly pay rate of $25.00 to $28.00 per hour based on accounting experience.
• $1,000 signing bonus available after 90 days for candidates with qualifying Traverse ERP experience.
