Travel Registered Nurse – Emergency Room (Nights)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 36 Hours/Week Guaranteed | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 17-bed Emergency Department serving a primarily adult and geriatric population, with some pediatric patients
• Efficiently and safely manage a patient assignment at a 1:4 ratio across varying acuity levels
• Recognize and respond to changes in patient status, including common presentations such as chest pain, abdominal pain, and behavioral health concerns
• Collaborate with the care team in a self-scheduling environment using a scheduling application
• Document patient care accurately using the ED Paragon electronic health record system
• Participate in every-other-weekend rotation unless assigned opposite a dedicated weekender

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure in good standing
• Minimum 2–3 years of Emergency Department experience
• Minimum 1 year of travel nursing experience
• Current ACLS, PALS, BLS, and NIH Stroke certifications required
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher required
• Candidates must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to qualify for travel status

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with ED Paragon or similar emergency department EHR platforms
• Demonstrated ability to manage high-acuity patients independently and as part of a team
• Collaborative, adaptable, and team-oriented personality with a hardworking and friendly approach
