BayCare Health System is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Medical/Surgical Oncology Unit at Winter Haven Hospital. Winter Haven Hospital is recognized for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care and improving the health of the communities we serve.

Position Summary

The Registered Nurse provides direct patient care in a hospital setting using the nursing process and established clinical standards. The RN collaborates with the interdisciplinary team, prioritizes patient needs, and ensures safe, high-quality care on a Medical/Surgical Cardiac unit.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care using evidence-based nursing practice
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members on plans of care
• Delegate appropriate patient care tasks to support staff
• Identify patient safety risks related to diagnosis, medications, procedures, and age
• Maintain professional accountability and ongoing development

Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• BLS certification
• Minimum 6 months RN acute care experience
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

• Facility: Winter Haven Hospital – Med/Surg Oncology Unit I
• Location: Winter Haven, FL
• Status: Full-Time | Non-Exempt
• Shift: Shift 1 (Days)
• Hours: 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• On-Call: No
• Remote Work: Never
