STEAM Educator Position

Norridge School District 80 is seeking a dynamic STEAM Educator for John V Leigh School. The successful candidates will possess a knowledge of the Common Core Standards as they relate to STEAM. They should have an understanding of literacy skills and strategies for teaching primary students and an understanding of the academic and social/emotional needs of students. Practice assessment techniques that promote student learning and inform instructional decisions. Implement a classroom management model that promotes student exploration while fostering student responsibility and independence. Exhibit a demeanor/disposition that engages children in learning and encourages risk taking. Practice a collaborative approach to working with colleagues whether at the grade level, school staff level, or district level. Promote differentiated instruction to engage all learners in the classroom, with an emphasis on project-based learning.
