Registered Nurse – PCU travel assignment in Plattsburgh, NY. Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for adult patients in a PCU/telemetry environment, including frequent monitoring and documentation
- Manage insulin drips and cardiac drips, start IV access, and oversee post-cardiac cath care per protocol
- Monitor vital signs and telemetry, respond to cardiac events, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team for timely interventions
- Administer medications as ordered, manage pain and symptom relief, and ensure patient safety and comfort
- Document care in the electronic medical record (Epic) and communicate patient status to the care team
- Participate in unit operations, including calls to obtain additional resources and coordinating care during float rotations

Requirements
- Active New York RN license; license must be on file at submission
- Certifications: BLS and ACLS (AHA); NIHSS required prior to start
- Experience: minimum 1 year of telemetry experience and 1 year of clinical experience in the specialty area
- Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years
- Ability to work in an acute inpatient PCU/telemetry setting and to participate in a float rotation
- Must be able to start within the next week and commit to the 4-week contract
- Education: Registered Nurse (RN) degree; specific degree level not mandated beyond RN licensure
- Patient population: adult; care involves ACS considerations, hemodynamic monitoring, and complex cardiac care
