Warranty Specialist - TechOps Supply Chain

How you'll help us Keep Climbing (overview & key responsibilities) The TechOps Supply ChainWarranty team is seeking an experienced professional to join as a Specialist -Warranty Supply Chain Management, responsible for the execution of warranty, guarantee,and entitlement claim project management. Important attributes forthis role include being a self-starter, accountable to self and drivingaccountability from suppliers. The Specialist must work collaboratively withfrequent interaction with internal stakeholders and understanding of theirconstraints; be relationship-driven, solution-oriented, strategic, good problemsolver; and be able to work with minimal supervision and superiorprioritization skills to enable complete ownership of projects. A basicunderstanding of aviation warranty processes, contracts, and metrics is highlypreferred. Summary ofresponsibilities (not comprehensive of all tasks): Manages 80+ warranty and guarantee claims across multipleSuppliers from creation to completion with foundational purpose of using claimsto drive Supplier performance and accountability Analyzes and interprets complex data sets and attendsmeetings to create claims, solicits internal stakeholder feedback to ensurefull contractual entitlement capture, uses correct external process for claimfiling with each Supplier Files quarterly guarantee claims (Late Spares, LateRepairs, etc) with assigned Suppliers with superior understanding of contractadministration and strategies; strategically prioritizes and leverages Delta/Supplier relationship in regards to claim negotiations Builds and fosters relationships with Delta Engineeringdepartments, Materials groups, and production shops across Delta TechOps toidentify part failures and reliability issues Becomes adept at warranty strategy to allow forinnovative and insightful approach to claim negotiations to maximize claimvalue reconciliation within a constrained work environment Develops strong internal (Delta) relationships withSourcing Managers in Supply Chain to understand and execute on claimingcontract entitlements Develops strong external (Supplier and AircraftManufacturer) relationships to enhance ability to negotiate both contractualand concessionary claim settlements Proactively collaborates with and supports RepairWarranty; supports developing improvements to the efficiency, productivity, andperformance of internal Delta warranty processes Practices safety-conscious behaviors in all operationalprocesses and procedures What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications) Must have High School Dimploma/GED, or a minimum of five yearsof relevant work experience Must be comfortable with negotiations across all levelsof management Must have exemplary written and verbal interpersonalskills Need to have advanced Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, andExcel proficiency Must be able to understand and develop complexspreadsheets and presentations and interpret to peers and upper managementalike Should have a high level of initiative and intuition inmanaging workload, identifying business issues for analysis, structuringprojects, and implementing change Travel may be required 5-10% (If transferring internally) Must beperforming satisfactorily in current position Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self,others, and personal data. Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles. Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high schoolequivalency. Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to workin the United States.
