LEAD TECH - ULTRASOUND

Responsibilities Lead Ultrasound Technologist (Full-Time) – reports to the Imaging Department leadership. Administers patient care and clinical diagnostic imaging per department and hospital policies/procedures. Assists with orienting staff and training students. Supports accreditation efforts and departmental goals and metrics. Performs ultrasound examinations and ensures efficient and consistent departmental operations. Qualifications High School Graduate or equivalent. Diploma from a certified school of radiologic technology. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR Certification through the American Heart Association. Active American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) license (ARDMS preferred). Certification in General, Vascular and OBGYN preferred. Minimum one-year of previous leadership experience as a registered Sonographer required; acute care experience preferred. Skills Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, regulatory or accreditation requirements; effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Numerical proficiency: ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide; compute rate, ratio, and percent; interpret bar graphs. Ability to follow written, oral, or diagram instructions; solve practical problems in variable conditions. Knowledge of Joint Commission, ACR, and Title 22 standards and guidelines. Compliance with hospital policies and procedures; strong leadership, organization, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to relate to clinical personnel, medical staff, and the public; computer skills with standard applications.
