Step into a rewarding contract opportunity where your expertise in speech-language pathology helps make a genuine impact in the lives of students. Two dedicated SLPs are sought to serve in supportive educational environments near Michigan City, IN, with placements available in both elementary and intermediate school settings.

For the first position, you will work with approximately 100 students across Fegley Intermediate and Crisman Elementary, engaging in a diverse caseload with potential for speech-language assistant support. The second opening provides flexibility: either focus on early childhood intervention with preschool through first grade, servicing 70–80 students (with SLA support available 1–2 days per week), or take on a broader K–8 caseload across three schools, supporting around 75 students. The split-site role keeps daily transitions minimal—Porter Lakes Elementary is just a brief drive from Boone Grove schools.

Preferred candidates will hold CCC credentials and bring a background in school-based services. SLPA candidates are not being considered at this time. Hours are structured at 7 per day with a 30-minute unpaid lunch, and scheduling accommodates flexibility to fit your needs.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Current or pending CCCs from ASHA (CCC-SLP highly preferred)
• Valid Indiana SLP license or ability to obtain prior to start
• Prior experience in a school setting strongly desired
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Primary responsibilities:

• Deliver direct and consultative services to students, aligned with IEP goals
• Conduct assessments and document progress
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to foster student success
• Maintain thorough, timely documentation required by state and district guidelines
