Step into a day on our maintenance team

You arrive in Manitowoc, WI ready to keep a busy manufacturing operation running smoothly. The shift you chose sets the rhythm: 2nd Shift runs 2:45pm–11:00pm and 3rd Shift goes 10:45pm–7:00am. You begin with a safety check, review your CMMS work orders, and head to the floor where equipment performance depends on your judgment and speed.

First up: a line stoppage. You diagnose using meters, gauges, and test instruments to zero in on a faulty component. A quick mechanical adjustment, a replacement part, and the line is back up. Next, you handle a scheduled PM—steam system inspection and boiler valve adjustments—before moving on to a PLC/VFD troubleshooting ticket. By shift end, you’ve closed out work orders, updated parts inventory, and left the area clean and safe.

What you’ll do

• Complete maintenance work orders and PMs swiftly and accurately to return equipment to optimal service.
• Follow all Safety, Health, and Environmental rules while executing every task.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues using indicators, gauges, and test equipment.
• Repair and restore production machinery by adjusting, repairing, or replacing defective components.
• Set up and operate shop equipment: drill press, grinders, band saws, cutting torch, and welder.
• Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Operate forklifts and aerial platform lifts to perform maintenance as needed.
• Troubleshoot and program VFDs and PLCs.
• Apply working knowledge of steam systems and boiler operations to adjust valving and equipment safely.
• Use a computer to research parts/repairs, reference equipment manuals, and manage a CMMS for inventory and work orders.
• Maintain an orderly, safe work environment throughout the shift.

Location and shifts

Manitowoc, WI

•Candidate can be on 2nd or 3rd Shift.

2nd Shift: 2:45pm-11pm

3rd Shift: 10:45pm-7am

What you bring

• High school diploma or equivalent (required).
• 3+ years of industrial electrical and mechanical maintenance experience (required).
• Ability to interpret electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics and blueprints (required).
• Understanding or experience troubleshooting and programming VFDs and PLCs (preferred).
• Understanding or experience troubleshooting and programming PLCs (preferred).
• Journeyman card, certificate, degree, or equivalent (preferred).
• Resume must to back up their listed experience.
