Job Description & Requirements Specialty: OR - Operating Room Discipline: RN Start Date: 09/30/2026 Duration: 12 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 10 hours, days Employment Type: Travel *must have ID RN license at the time of submission MUST BE ABLE TO START 10/26 OR LATER - NOT EARLIER Travel RN- OR Location: Idaho Falls, ID Shift Type: Day Shift Shift Time: Start Time: 06:30 AM End Time: 04:30 PM Duration: 13 WEEKS General Information Tell us about the unit(s): · Number of Beds – 13 ORs · Number of Staff – 25 RNs / 29 CSTs · Type of staff: § 0630-1500: 13 RNs / 13 CSTs to run up to 10 rooms § 1500-1700: 8 RNs / 8 CSTs to run up to 7 rooms § 1700-1900: 6 RNs / 5 CSTs to run up to 4 rooms § 1900-2300: 3 RNs / 2 CSTs to run up to 2 rooms § 2300-0700: 1 RN / 1 CST to cover trauma o Saturday and Sunday § 0700-0700: 1 RN / 1 CST to cover trauma § Saturday has an additional call team to run two rooms from 0630-1500 o Trauma team (1 RN / 1 CST) available during off hours o 1 CST for L&D Call · Patient Ratios – average 50 hours of surgical time (patient in room) Monday – Friday. Weekends vary with Saturday heavier than Sunday. · EMR - Meditech Typical hiring profile Skill Set Most recruited for: Must have : candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role. · 3 years of operating room experience · Trauma Experience · Shift and call flexibility Preferred or nice to have : candidates with these skills will be considered first. · CNOR certification · Burn Experience · Robotic Experience · Neuro Experience List typical procedures performed on unit(s): · Burn: high acuity patients mostly from ICU: wound debridement, skin grafting, dressing change · Dental: restoration (cavities) and oral maxillofacial · ENT: T&A through parathyroidectomy and cochlear implants · Gastroenterology: EGD, colonoscopy · General - everything · Gynecology – ablations, vaginal/abdominal hysters · Neuro – stealth, spinal fusions, discectomy, craniotomy · Open Heart – CABG, fempop, fistulas · Ophthalmology – vitrectomy, cataracts, corneal transplant · Orthopedics – trauma, total joints, sports med · Plastics – breast augmentation/reconstruction · Pychiatry – electroconvulsive therapy · Robotics – gyn, general, urology · Trauma – damage control resuscitative surgery, neuro, ortho, general · Urology – cystoscopy, TURB, TURP, stents Best personality Fit: · Open and outgoing · Forward thinking · Team player · Excellent critical thinking skills REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS: · BLS , ACLS and Registered Nurse License (ID) Weekends and On call(if any) · Rotate weekend call every four weeks, call utilized to fill evening/night staffing holes M-R and is evenly distributed among team.
