This Kitchen is a high-volume, multi-format hospitality program serving the creative community throughout the day, spanning a cafeteria, three coffee bars, catering, and a take-out window. What You'll Do Receiving & Inventory Support Receive vendor deliveries, verify quality and quantities of items against delivery documentation and communicate any issues to the appropriate leader. Safely move, organize, and put away all supplies as directed, maintaining orderly and accessible storage areas. Assist with inventory counts and communicate shortages, discrepancies, damaged items, or other inventory concerns to leadership. Help maintain accurate labeling, organization, rotation, and storage of supplies while keeping all areas clean and safe. Catering & Building Support Transport drop-off catering using carts for morning meetings, lunches, and other small-format events, delivering orders to the correct designated location on time. Set up drop-off catering neatly and attractively, including removing packaging, arranging trays and food, and ensuring readiness for the client. Coordinate with the facilities staff regarding room setup items provided by the building, including serving utensils and other meeting supplies. Retrieve equipment and reusable items after deliveries as directed. Porter & Operational Support Move supplies, product, equipment, trash, recycling, and other items safely throughout the operation as needed. Support the culinary, FOH, and C&E teams with operational needs throughout the day and communicate maintenance, equipment, delivery, or building concerns promptly. Work collaboratively across departments and outlets, and take on additional duties, responsibilities, or projects as directed by Kitchen leadership as the operation's needs evolve. Working Conditions & Expectations This is primarily a Monday–Friday daytime position, with typical shifts falling between approximately 6:00 AM and 4:00 PM. Schedule may vary based on operational needs, special events, and business requirements, including occasional evening, weekend, and holiday shifts. Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where priorities, delivery schedules, meeting needs, and service demands can change quickly. Demonstrate teamwork and help build a positive attitude and strong, respectful communication with guests, staff, vendors, and teammates. Follow all sanitation, health, safety, and applicable workplace standards and laws. Who You Are Previous experience in receiving, warehouse, restaurant, hotel, catering, hospitality, or comparable operational work preferred. Reliable, organized, physically capable, and comfortable working independently while staying connected to the larger team. Detail-oriented and able to interact professionally with vendors, staff, guests, and teammates while moving throughout the building. California food safety certification required within 30 days of hire. Physical Demands Regularly stand, walk, use hands, reach with hands and arms, and communicate verbally. Frequently stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, sit, climb and work in active foodservice areas. Frequently lift and/or move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
