Job Title: Mechanical Engineer (Theme Park industry) Hiring type: Fulltime Job Description Design and implement mechanical systems for large-scale projects. Conduct structural calculations, acceleration forces, load calculations, material stress design, and failure analysis. Lead installation, system integration, and commissioning of systems. Analyze mechanical designs for hazard mitigation and compliance with safety standards. Produce design documents, drawings, and procedures using AutoCAD and SolidWorks. Troubleshoot pneumatic and hydraulic control systems. Conduct system analysis, including stress, fatigue, and reliability testing. Evaluate amusement ride safety standards, especially for emergency scenarios. Work closely with engineers and contractors, guiding lower-level staff and managing smaller projects from $50k to $250k. Manage project costs, schedules, and client requirements.
