How You’ll Make a Difference You’ll have the opportunity to assist guests during some of their most challenging times, creating and providing exceptional guest experiences. The Assistant Store Manager is the first‑line representative to customers in the Store Manager’s absence, managing daily operations, revenue, delinquency management, occupancy, cleanliness standards, and customer service. Responsibilities Assist the Store Manager with daily site operations. Manage revenue, delinquency, and occupancy. Maintain cleanliness standards. Handle guest requests and sell merchandise, insurance, and storage solutions. Convert sales, take payments, handle cash, balance receipts, and post payments. Participate in collecting past‑due accounts. Assist customers with truck rentals (where applicable). Inspect the stores daily, perform lock checks and custodial duties—including cleaning vacated units. Contact vendors for routine maintenance repairs. Operate maintenance equipment. Manage banking duties such as visiting the post office. Salary and Benefits Hourly wage: $17.00 – $18.00 per hour, with competitive bonus potential. Physical Demands And Work Environment Ability to walk, bend, stand, and stoop frequently. Lift up to 35 lbs. frequently, push up to 50 lbs. frequently. Lift above head frequently. Work weekends as needed. Operate tools and maintenance equipment with manual dexterity. Communicate in written and verbal format frequently.
