MRI Technologist (Second Shift) - Main & LOSC

Overview Eligibility to receive a $20,000 sign‑on bonus. Monday to Friday, 2:00pm to 11:45pm availability required. Holiday, call and on‑call responsibility required. Job Description Performs MRI examinations on pediatric patients, ensuring the production of quality diagnostic images. Essential Functions Operate MRI equipment to produce diagnostic images of patients' internal structures. Prepare patients for MRI procedures by positioning them correctly and administering contrast media as required. Monitor patients during MRI scans to ensure safety and comfort. Maintain accurate patient records and ensure that all images are properly labeled and stored. Maintain MRI equipment to ensure optimal image quality and patient safety. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to interpret MRI images and provide accurate diagnoses. Qualifications Education: Graduate of an accredited educational program for Radiologic Technology. Licensure: Active status with the Registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. Certifications: Current CPR certification; ARRT certification (MRI) within 18 months of employment. Skills: Excellent communication and organizational skills. Experience: Two years of clinical experience in the Radiologic Sciences; one year of MRI procedures preferred; experience in a pediatric setting preferred. Physical Requirements Occasionally: Electricity, flexing/extending of neck. Lifting / carrying: 61–100lbs. Pushing / pulling: 100lbs or greater with assistance; 61–100lbs. Biohazard waste, blood and/or bodily fluids, chemicals/medications, communicable diseases and/or pathogens. Frequently: Lifting / carrying: 21–40lbs; 41–60lbs. Driving loud noises, patient equipment. Pushing / pulling: 41–60lbs. Reaching above shoulder. Continuously: Audible speech; bend/twist; color vision; computer skills; decision making; depth perception. Hand use: grasping, gripping, turning. Hearing acuity; interpreting data. Repetitive hand/arm use; seeing – far/near. Sitting; squat/kneel; standing; walking. Lifting / carrying: 0–10lbs; 11–20lbs. Pushing / pulling: 0–25lbs; 26–40lbs. Peripherial vision; problem solving. Additional requirements: constant talking, hearing, standing, stooping, lifting, hand dexterity, bending, walking, and seeing to perform varied MRI procedures.
