Nurse Practitioner | Family Practice Location: Ruidoso, NM Employer: Adelphi Locums Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Start Date: ASAP About the Position Job Quick Facts • Ref : BD-1344-01 • Profession: Advanced Practice Provider • Specialty: Nurse Practitioner • Job Type: Contract (Part-Time) • Contract Length: 1 year, with option to extend up to 4 years • Location: South-Central, New Mexico • Service Setting: School-Based Health / Outpatient • Coverage Type: Hybrid (Onsite + Telehealth) • Schedule: Part-time schedule based on clinic and school site needs • Shift Options: Flexible daytime hours • Start Date: ASAP (pending completion of credentialing requirements) • Compensation:$80 Requirements • Must be a Licensed Nurse Practitioner in the State of New Mexico • Active, unrestricted license with no sanctions • National board certification as a Nurse Practitioner • Active DEA certification (if prescribing medications) • Experience in primary care, family practice, or school-based health preferred • Experience providing care to pediatric and adolescent populations preferred • Knowledge of preventative care, health education, and disease management • Ability to diagnose, treat, and prescribe medications independently within scope of practice • Ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including mental health providers • Must complete all credentialing, background screening, and clearance requirements prior to start • Must provide current resume and references • Must comply with all applicable state and regulatory requirements • Must be able to travel between sites as needed Responsibilities • Provide health and wellness care to students of all ages, as well as services to families and school staff • Provide comprehensive healthcare services, including assessments, diagnosis, and treatment • Deliver preventative care, health education, and disease management • Conduct physical examinations, patient evaluations, and provide counseling • Diagnose illnesses and conditions and develop appropriate treatment plans • Prescribe medications in accordance with clinical guidelines and state regulations • Treat minor acute injuries and conditions • Order and interpret diagnostic tests and lab results • Manage clinic pharmacy functions in accordance with established policies and procedures • Manage and support laboratory services in compliance with applicable guidelines (including CLIA requirements) • Provide care both in-person and via telehealth • Collaborate with mental health providers and interdisciplinary teams to support patient care • Participate in patient advocacy and promote overall health and wellness • Utilize electronic health records (EHR) to document patient encounters and services • Travel to various school districts and sites as needed to provide services and support clinic operations • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation • Adhere to all policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements • Perform duties consistent with those assigned to permanent staff • Complete additional duties as assigned
