Location: Hybrid in Lower Manhattan (3 WTC), with hybrid flexibility
Salary: $220,000 - $265,000
JD Years: 2021 - 2023
A nationally recognized employer-side labor and employment team is hiring a mid-level associate for its New York office. The group handles a full range of employment litigation and counseling matters for clients ranging from Fortune 500 companies to high-growth startups.
Associates here work on high-impact litigation, day-to-day HR advisory, and strategic labor matters. The team also offers strong mentorship and cross-office collaboration, including with cross-border clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Defend employers in discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wage-and-hour claims
- Handle class and collective actions under FLSA, NYLL, and ERISA
- Advise clients on employee handbooks, compliance audits, workplace investigations, and training
- Represent clients in NLRB matters and collective bargaining negotiations
- Assist with trade secret enforcement and restrictive covenant litigation
Qualifications:
- 3–6 years of experience in labor and employment law
- Background in both litigation and client counseling preferred
- Experience with class actions, wage/hour, or trade secrets a plus
- Licensed to practice in New York
