South Central Region Drinking Water Treatment Business Class Leader

Position Summary HDR, a leading engineering & architecture firm, offers a leadership opportunity for a Drinking Water Treatment Business Class Leader for the South Central Region (Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma). The role supports growth and development of drinking water treatment practice through client management, project execution, staff mentorship, and business development. Primary Responsibilities Provide leadership to strategic drinking water clients via workshops, conferences, and client/project management. Engage in high-profile projects and contract pursuits leveraging experience and client relationships. Assist in managing a group of drinking water engineers and professionals, coordinating with Water Business Group leadership. Coordinate, mentor, recruit, and develop regional staff while producing quality deliverables. Serve as key member of the Drinking Water Treatment Business Class, managing staff, business development, project pursuit, and HDR's technical quality program. Plan, direct, or monitor large multidisciplinary drinking water treatment projects—program management, planning, Owner’s Advisor, detailed design. Lead or support scope development and execution with technical professionals. Participate in budget, strategic planning, and initiatives with global leadership. Assist drinking water teams in other regions as needed. Participate in internal practice groups, professional societies, and other industry organizations. Perform other duties related to projects and client management. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or related field. 10+ years of experience in the field. Professional or engineering registration with related technical experience. Experience developing and managing diverse teams. Collaborative work with business class regional directors, operations managers, technical directors, and marketing managers. Commitment to quality, improvement, and HDR values.
