Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in an active Labor and Delivery unit with 12 L&D beds, 4 triage beds, and 160–200 births per month
• Circulate and participate in C-section procedures across 2 OR suites on the unit
• Independently read and interpret fetal monitoring strips using the WatchChild monitoring system — no monitor technicians on unit
• Collaborate with on-site OB, Neonatology, Anesthesia, and Surgical Tech support available 24/7
• Float to the Mother-Baby unit on an occasional, as-needed basis
• Adhere to AWHONN staffing ratio guidelines and participate in unit-specific orientation

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure eligible for practice in Texas
• ACLS certification required
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
• AWHONN Fetal Monitoring certification required
• Ability to independently read and interpret fetal monitoring strips
• Willingness to meet weekend requirements (every other weekend) and holiday obligations

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a high-volume Labor and Delivery setting
• Familiarity with WatchChild fetal monitoring systems
• Experience circulating in C-section/OR procedures
• Comfort with occasional floating to Mother-Baby units
