Average patients/day? \n Minimum Years of Experience required? 18 months PCU/Intermediate Care experience \n Will you accept a first-time traveler? Yes, must be strong \n Required License, National Certification, Certs: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS \n Technology/Equipment: \n EMR: Meditech \n IV Pump: Baxter \n Med dispensing: Pyxis \n Patient Types/Common Diagnoses: \n Medical: Sepsis, respiratory compromise, CHF, COPD, DKA, DTs, multisystem failure \n Cardiac: heart caths, ablations, temp pacers, stable TAVRs, 24h post-CABG, \n Drips: Insulin, nitro, heparin, dopamine, dobutamine, amiodarone, levophed (rare). All drips non-titrating \n Patient Ratios: 1:3 \n Skills required: \n Experience with above patient types \n General PCU skillset, IV starts, central line blood draws \n Floating: If yes, where? \n Travelers are first to float \n MedSurg \n Brendan House – LTAC/Nursing Home patients – orientation provided \n Behavioral Health (formerly Pathways) is a department of Logan Health Medical Center that provides acute inpatient services for mental health and substance abuse – orientation provided \n ICU to take care of IMC level patients \n Scheduling: \n Weekend rotation: every other weekend \n On call? No \n Holiday Expectations: Will work 2 out of 3 holidays (if applicable) \n Approval of RTO: Ok to approve up to 7 days. Any more or around holidays, send for manager approval \n Shift times: \n Schedule cycle: The scheduler attempts to do block scheduling whenever possible, but there may be some weeks they are not able to do that or that an occasional need for back-to-back weekend, so flexibility is important \n Other notes: \n Scrub Color: Navy Blue \n Parking: Free, parking lot.
