Here, you will make an impact by:Leading manufacturing cost, product yield, and quality improvement projects using Lean, Six Sigma, and Value Stream methodologiesLeading local management of change projects with focus on communication, risk evaluation, and execution of process and product changesSupporting rapid resolution of customer complaints; including timely response, and implementation and communication of corrective actionsPerforming capability assessments for new opportunitiesCreating and maintaining product/process documentation, including product/process specifications and test methodsWorking with plant, division, and other internal and external resources as needed to accomplish objectivesAbility to cover nights, weekends, and holidays, as necessary, to support 24 hour/7 days a week, 365 days a year continuous manufacturingYour skills and expertiseTo set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:Bachelor's degree or higher in a science or engineering discipline (completed and verified prior to start)Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:Experience on quality improvement and cost reduction projects.Experience on working in a manufacturing environment.Experience utilizing statistical tools in problem solving.Excellent interpersonal, communication, analytical and organizational skills to manage different priorities.Work location:Nevada, MO.Travel: May include up to 10% domestic/internationalRelocation assistance: May be authorizedMust be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).Supporting your well-being3M offers many programs to help you live your best life – both physically and financially.
