Pool Construction Team Member

Reports To: Construction Manager
Job Type: Full-Time, Year-Round
Schedule: Monday–Friday, with Saturdays as needed during peak season
Typical Hours: 40–60 hours/week in season; 30–40 hours/week off season
Compensation: $24–$28/hour, based on experience and qualifications

Position Summary

We are looking for a dependable, hardworking individual to join our pool construction team.

Previous pool construction experience is not required. We are willing to train the right person.

This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys working outdoors, learning new skills, and being part of a team. We are especially interested in someone looking for a career opportunity rather than a temporary construction job.

Pool construction involves a wide variety of skills, including excavation, concrete, steel installation, plumbing, equipment operation, layout, and job-site coordination. The right candidate will have the opportunity to learn these skills and take on greater responsibility as they develop.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with excavation and site preparation for swimming pool installations.
• Assist with forming, pouring, and finishing concrete.
• Install pool structures, steel walls, and related components.
• Assist with pool plumbing and underground conduit installation under supervision.
• Move stone, concrete, pipe, soil, and other construction materials.
• Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and basic construction equipment.
• Assist with measurements, layout, grades, and elevations.
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized job sites.
• Help maintain company tools, vehicles, and equipment.
• Follow supervisor instructions, construction plans, safety requirements, and company procedures.
• Take on additional responsibilities as skills and experience develop.

Candidate Requirements:

• Be dependable and arrive ready to work on time.

• Be comfortable working with tools and performing physical labor.
• Have good mechanical and problem-solving ability.
• Pay attention to detail and follow directions.
• Work well as part of a team.
• Be comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Be available for longer days, including Saturdays, during peak construction season.
• Have a valid driver's license and meet company driving requirements.
• Have, or be able to obtain, a DOT Medical Card if required for assigned driving responsibilities.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Preferred Experience:

Experience in any of the following is a plus, but not required :

• General construction
• Excavation and site work
• Concrete forming or finishing
• Plumbing
• Masonry or hardscape
• Trailer operation
• Heavy equipment operation, including excavators, backhoes, skid steers, or loaders
• Tool and equipment maintenance
• OSHA or other construction safety training

Physical Requirements:

Candidates must be able to:

• Perform physically demanding construction work throughout the day.
• Regularly lift and carry tools, equipment, and construction materials.
• Stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and shovel for extended periods.
• Work outdoors in hot, cold, wet, dusty, and other typical construction conditions.
