Our House of Tooele is looking for a dependable, compassionate, and friendly team member to join our community in a full-time Transportation Specialist/Front Desk Receptionist position.This unique role combines two important responsibilities.  Most of the position involves safely transporting our residents to appointments, outings, errands, and other destinations as needed.  The position will also provide front desk reception coverage, helping create a welcoming and professional environment for our residents, families, visitors, and staff.We're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys working with seniors, is a safe and responsible driver, has excellent customer service skills, and is willing to jump in and help wherever needed.Transportation ResponsibilitiesSafely transport residents to and from medical appointments, therapy, shopping, activities, errands, and other destinations.Assist residents in getting safely to and from the vehicle as needed.Provide courteous, patient, and compassionate assistance to residents during transportation.Maintain a clean, safe, and organized company vehicle.Complete required transportation documentation and maintain accurate records.Follow all traffic laws, safety procedures, and company transportation policies.Communicate effectively with the care team regarding transportation schedules and resident needs.Help coordinate transportation schedules and ensure residents arrive at appointments and activities on time.Be attentive to residents' comfort and safety throughout each trip.Front Desk/Reception ResponsibilitiesGreet residents, families, visitors, and vendors in a warm and professional manner.  Answer and direct phone calls and respond to general inquiries.Monitor and respond to front desk needs throughout the shift.Assist with signing in visitors and maintaining appropriate visitor records.Receive and distribute mail and deliveries.Assist staff, residents, and families with general questions and requests.Perform basic office duties, filing, data entry, copying, and other administrative tasks.Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area.Communicate important information to appropriate members of the management or care team.Provide support to the community as needed.What We're Looking ForPrevious experience working with seniors, in healthcare, assisted living, valid driver's license, and ability to meet company insurance requirements.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Friendly, patient, and compassionate personality.Dependable and punctual with a strong sense of responsibility.Comfortable working with seniors who may have different mobility and assistance needs.Ability to remain calm, professional, and helpful in a variety of situations.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Basic computer and office skills.Ability to work independently while also being a team player.Willingness to lend a helping hand and assist with other community needs when necessary.Why Join Our House of Tooele?At Our House of Tooele, our residents are our priority.  This position is an important part of helping our residents remain connected, active, and able to get where they need to go while also providing a welcoming face at our front desk.If you are a safe driver, dependable, personable, and enjoy making a difference in the lives of seniors, we would love to have you join our team!Apply today to become part of the Our House of Tooele family
