Material Handler II

About The Role Responsible for supporting the Distribution Lead and all elements of Distribution to relocate, stage, load, and unload materials throughout the warehouse and in coordination with freight vendors. Job Type Full-Time Locations Dalton, GA Schedule Monday-Friday 7am-5pm Department Distribution Duties and Responsibilities Operate a lift truck with fork or pole attachment to move materials Ensure all standard procedures are followed while transacting movements of materials Coordinate the loading and unloading of materials with the Distribution Lead, Mat Lead, and/or Shipping & Receiving Clerk Communicate any order issues with Distribution Lead, Mat Lead, and/or the Shipping & Receiving Clerk Verify lot numbers when loading or unloading product Assist in the proper packaging of materials Maintain a clean and safe work environment Assists in inventory monitoring Qualifications Education or experience level 1+ year of lift truck operation Certified lift truck operation training Exhibits mastery level performance of lift truck operation Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite Work Environment This role operates inside and outside of distribution department. This is an onsite job and is NOT remote. Regular and predictive attendance is mandatory. Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or listen. The employee is frequently required to stand for long periods of time; walk; use hands and fingers, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and move objects up to 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust.
