Trilogy Sunstone Set within the Sunstone Master Plan is Trilogy Sunstone, a new community offering resort-style living in highly desirable northwest Las Vegas, Nevada. Trilogy Sunstone is planned to be a modern, amenity-rich Resort Club with stylish spaces designed to bring neighbors together for outdoor activities or a night out on the town. Where: Northwest Las Vegas near Red Rock Canyon with quick access to the Las Vegas strip Pay: $72,000.00 Annual Benefits: New management full-time team members working 30 hours or more per week, will be eligible for the Company medical, dental and life insurance plans the first of the month following the first day of full-time employment. Full-Time team members are eligible to accrue Paid Time Off (PTO) in accordance with the Company policy at a rate of 120 hours per year. Full-Time team members are eligible for 7 paid holidays annually. All team members 21 years and older are eligible to participate in the J.F. Shea Co., Inc. 401(k) plan after completion of 30 days of service. Position Overview The Wellness Manager supports the daily operations of the Wellness Center, including planning for marketing and sales, hiring, training and supervising staff, processing payroll, and facility management and maintenance. This position reports to the Wellness Director. Key Responsibilities Ensure the BlueStar Experience for members and guests by modeling and maintaining the standards set in the BlueStar 10 and adhering to BlueStar Resort & Golf (BSRG) and facility policies. Manage effective daily operations including opening and closing procedures, facility inspections, cash handling procedures, and general facility maintenance. Provide hospitality to members and guests and support to staff when needed. Implement monthly sales promotions and strategies as outlined in the marketing plan; review weekly reports for retail and services. Continually develop programs and services for members. Ensure expenses are within budgetary limits and the established financial goals. Assist in developing monthly client reports. Responsible for employee recruiting, hiring, and training. Lead and motivate staff to achieve goals and exceed member expectations. Monitor facility upkeep and work with the management team to correct or upgrade any conditions that are not safe or in keeping with the Club's resort image. Oversee pool operation, including staff, supplies, and sanitation. Research and develop external fitness and recreational opportunities that will benefit the community, as well as Club resources. Prepare and approve payroll and financial reports in accordance with BSRG policy, as requested. Monitor proper inventory and purchasing procedures; submit purchase orders to the Wellness Director for approval. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned. Must be a role model and able to live our BlueStar core values: Honesty and Integrity Respect for the Individual Teamwork Competitive Spirit Minimum Requirements / Qualifications / Skills High School diploma or equivalent preferred. Three years' leadership experience in a Wellness, Health Club, Fitness Club, or Spa environment, with supervisory experience preferred. Certified Pool/Spa Operator (CPO) certification, if required by the facility. Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office. Club management system or other retail or database software experience a plus. Knowledge of professional spa services and treatments preferred. Knowledge of retail operations and inventory systems required. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, portions, and percentages. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals, financial reports, and professional journals. Must have planning, problem-solving, decision-making, delegation, time management, supervisory and employee development skills. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to respond to the needs and requests of staff members, guests, and the community association. Must demonstrate initiativeability to think, work, and make independent decisions, based on sound judgment. Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where continuous improvement is expected. This position requires a flexible schedule to include evenings and weekends, with limited travel as required. Valid driver's license may be required. Work Environment This position generally operates in a professional indoor environment with some exposure to weather conditions, and occasionally native wildlife, when outdoors on the facility grounds. There is routine use of standard office equipment, such as computers, phones, copy and fax machines. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to hear, see, speak clearly and understand the speech of another person, sit, stand and walk (occasionally for an extended period), use hands to fingers, handle or feel, bend, and reach with hands and arms.
