Litigation Secretary
We are seeking an experienced Litigation Secretary to join a busy and collaborative legal team in Oxnard, California. This is an excellent opportunity for a legal professional with strong litigation support experience who enjoys working in a team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to litigation attorneys
- Prepare, format, and file pleadings, motions, correspondence, and other legal documents
- Assist with electronic filing in state and federal courts
- Manage calendars, deadlines, hearings, depositions, and meetings
- Assist with discovery and trial preparation
- Maintain organized case files and documents
- Communicate with clients, courts, opposing counsel, and other parties
- Support attorneys with day-to-day case management
Qualifications:
- Prior litigation secretary or legal secretary experience
- Strong knowledge of litigation procedures and legal terminology
- Experience with court filings and calendaring
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing deadlines
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal technology platforms
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment
