Organizational Development Specialist

General Summary This role works to enhance the overall engagement, experience and development of employees through multiple initiatives including Cultural Onboarding, 360 Reviews, goal and personal development, etc. creating a sense of belonging and motivation. Assists with executing strategies that foster a positive work environment, enhance employee satisfaction, and drive a culture of engagement, inclusion, and high performance. Responsible for managing the implementation and coordination of cultural and developmental programs, to include but not limited to: Aspiring Leaders, Emerging Leaders Mentoring, Educational Assistance, Volunteer Programs, and Coaching for Supervisors. Will participate in cross-functional training projects and offer guidance to business units with respect to cultural engagement and employee development. Will provide recommendations for continuous improvement of processes cultural and development processes and assist in establishing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). This role combines the creativity of employee engagement with the structure of learning and development to help build a thriving, empowered workforce. It plays a key role in implementing and assessing initiatives that improve workplace culture, retention, and organizational effectiveness. Provide world class customer service by capturing and being responsive to the voice of the customer (internal or external, including donors for select positions) through multiple feedback channels in order to resolve issues and drive satisfaction in accordance with the BBG customer engagement, feedback, and complaint processes. Major Duties and Responsibilities Essential Tasks Implement employee engagement initiatives, programs, and events that align with company culture and strategic goals. Act as a liaison between employees and management to ensure a high level of employee satisfaction and morale. Partner with HR, leadership, and cross-functional teams to roll out recognition, wellness, and development initiatives. Track and report on engagement metrics, trends, and ROI of programs. Facilitate focus groups, listening sessions, and other forums to gather employee feedback and provide insights to leadership. Assist with the development of internal communications and content that inspire, inform, and engage employees. Stay current on best practices and trends in employee engagement and culture-building. Assist with development and initiatives that foster a positive, inclusive, and engaged workplace culture. Assist with planning and execution of employee experience programs, including recognition, wellness, events, and communications. Conduct employee engagement surveys and focus groups; analyze results and present actionable insights. Collaborate with leadership to implement culture and engagement strategies aligned with company goals. Serve as a trusted advocate and feedback channel between employees and leadership. Participate in continuing education and attend meetings as required. Maintain a close working relationship with Human Resources management and other departmental staff. Provide assistance to HR or other departments as needed. Performs other duties as assigned. Education Required Minimum Education Requires a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year college or university. Licenses and/or Certifications Valid United States Driver’s License Certification from ASCP or equivalent preferred Experience Required Minimum Experience Requires five or more years of experience in employee engagement, learning & development, or organizational leadership development. Requires strong facilitation, project management, and communication skills. Requires proficiency with engagement and learning platforms (e.g. LMS, survey tools, HRIS systems). Requires the ability to analyze qualitative and quantitative data to make informed recommendations. Preferred Experience Prefer experience with instructional design or adult learning theory. Familiarity with workplace cultural practices, performance management, and leadership development preferred. Knowledge Must maintain knowledge of and perform according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and policies. Must have previous work experience with Microsoft Office, to include Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio and PowerPoint. Must maintain familiarity of regulatory/quality compliance, to include FDA, EU, ISO, GHM, cGMP, OSHA, etc. Must have a good knowledge of training basics. Skills Must have good program development skills. Must be capable of developing adult learning curriculums and training employees. Must be capable of operating motor vehicles in all types of weather conditions. Must have experience using Adobe Suite programs. Must have strong computer skills. Must have experience using Microsoft Office applications including Word, Outlook, Visio, PowerPoint and Excel. Must have excellent written and oral communication skills. Abilities Must be able to work independently as well as in a team environment. Must be comfortable dealing with all levels of management. Must be neat in appearance and well groomed. Must be professional, detail oriented, self-motivated, innovative, creative, assertive, organized, communicative, and have the ability to work independently. Must have excellent public speaking, public relations, and a strong teaching ability. Must maintain good working rapport with all departments. Must be a self-starter and self-directed worker. Must be able to keep information confidential. Must be able to operate audio/visual equipment. Working Environment & Travel Requirements Works in a well-lighted, air conditioned and heated office. May be exposed to electrical and chemical hazards and other conditions common to an office environment. May be required to work at any time of the day, evening or night during the week or weekend to include being on-call. Occupational Exposure Assignment - Category II Physical Requirements Must be able to drive on behalf of the organization. Will sit, stand, walk, and bend during working hours. Requires to reach, lift and carry up to 20 lbs Requires manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination.
