About the Position

Job Title: ICU Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 Year License: Valid State License Required (Compact License Preferred) Certifications: ACLS, BCLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Open to Working Every Other Weekend and at Least 3 of 5 Major Holidays Description: Float position required. Clinician may be floated to different ICU floors or lower acuity units. Willingness to work on weekends is necessary. Flexible scheduling for outside employment will not be considered. Must request all time-off or specific scheduling requests upfront during submission. Travelers may be expected to float between similar facilities nearby. Refusal to float may result in termination of the assignment. Healthcare experience in trauma and acute care settings is preferred. Ability to manage a variety of patient conditions, including high acuity. Experience with charting systems is necessary. Experience with patient care management protocols is essential. Responsibilities include administration of medications and management of complex patient needs. Ability to work with interdisciplinary teams is crucial. Must be comfortable managing ventilated patients and necessary medical equipment. Knowledge of infection prevention practices is required. Critical thinking and strong communication skills are essential. Candidates must provide professional references covering recent work experience.
