$60,000 GUARANTEED MINIMUM • $80,000+ EARNING POTENTIAL

Cousins Maine Lobster is looking for a dependable  Lead Driver with management and leadership ability for our growing Central Iowa mobile food operation, based in Newton.

The $60,000 is the guaranteed minimum compensation for this full-time position — not the earning limit. With our high-volume events and strong customer tips, successful drivers have the opportunity to earn $80,000+ annually based on actual tips and hours worked.

DRIVING + LEADERSHIP + MOBILE OPERATIONS

This is a driving position with an added leadership role. You’ll be responsible for driving our mobile unit to scheduled events while also helping lead the crew and daily operation.

We are especially interested in drivers who have  management, supervisory, team-lead, route-lead, or other leadership experience.

WHAT DOES A TYPICAL DAY LOOK LIKE?

Your day starts at our location in  Newton, Iowa .

You’ll pick up the Cousins Maine Lobster truck, make sure it is fueled and ready, and drive to the scheduled event.

Once you arrive, our normal setup takes approximately 30–40 minutes . During service, you’ll work alongside and help lead a small crew on the  grill and food line , similar to a restaurant line.

When the event is finished, the team closes the service window, gets everything ready to leave, and you drive the truck back to Newton.

Pick up → Drive → Set up → Lead & work the event → Drive back.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

A  valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record are required.  No CDL required.

Experience driving larger vehicles, box trucks, delivery trucks, route vehicles, or similar vehicles is preferred.

Management or leadership experience is strongly preferred. We’re looking for someone dependable and punctual who can confidently lead a small team and keep the daily operation organized.

Food-service experience is helpful but  not required — we can train the right driver on our grill and food-line operation.

Applicants must be comfortable with varying routes, weekends, and event schedules.

Background check, driving-record check, employment verification, and references are required as permitted by law.

Unlike many driving positions that require extended periods away from home, this position combines  driving with hands-on leadership of a premium mobile food operation.

You drive the truck, lead and work alongside your crew during the event, and return after the route.

For the right driver, this provides an opportunity to take on  more responsibility, build management experience, and earn considerably more than the guaranteed minimum.
