Well established Smithtown dental practice with outstanding staff seeks the right person to join our office family. Bring a comforting smile and caring touch to our patients during their treatment. Responsibilities:  Assist the doctors and patients chairside during treatment.  Assist other dental assistants as a roving assistant.  Turnover and prepare treatment rooms.  Seating patients and assessing needs, communicating to the doctors as needed.  Process and sterilize instruments.  Take digital x-rays (Air Techniques Scan-X PSP system).  Take impressions and pour models.  Scan for digital impressions (3Shape Trios Scanner).  Ordering of supplies, management of lab cases and equipment maintenance.  Anything else needed to make it all happen smoothly, efficiently, and with a happy and Successful outcome for all, what we do is a team sport. Requirements:  Must be good at multi-tasking and able to figure out what and how to do what needs to get done without a lot of direction.  Great interpersonal and communication skills, attention to detail, and love of learning are invaluable.  Previous experience and knowledge of four handed dentistry.  A working knowledge of Dentrix software would be helpful.  Hours needed: Mondays 8:45am -7pm, Tuesdays 7:45am- 6pm, Wednesdays 9:45am - 4pm and Thursdays 8:45am -6pm, flexibility to cover other assistants hours when they’re on vacation helpful (We are also open 2 Saturdays per month). Job type: Part time with potential to become full time. Pay: Flexible from $20 - $24 per hour depending on experience and qualifications Benefits:  Bonus based on monthly collections.  Staff family discount.  Retirement plan.  Paid holidays and paid time off.
