About the Role

The Company is seeking a Vice President for College Access, Readiness, and Equity. This visionary and collaborative leader will be responsible for ensuring that all scholars are academically prepared, personally supported, and fully informed to access college and postsecondary opportunities. The role involves strategic leadership in scholar readiness and postsecondary access, with a focus on designing and leading a network-wide strategy to ensure high school graduation and college eligibility. The successful candidate will oversee a cross-functional team and be instrumental in aligning and strengthening systems for scholar readiness, including academic counseling, college advising, and equity-centered policy design. Essential responsibilities also include providing executive oversight of college access infrastructure and data systems, leading the development of inclusive policies, and ensuring that all initiatives advance the company's commitments to equity, anti-racism, and educational justice. Candidates for this role at the company should have a strong commitment to the core beliefs and educational philosophy of the organization, as well as a demonstrated commitment to supporting equity, diversity, and inclusivity. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree or higher, with a preference for a graduate degree, and at least 5 years of relevant professional work experience, including a minimum of 3 years in school or system leadership. Key qualifications include a proven track record in developing and managing systems-level vision and strategy, experience in building and motivating high-performing teams, and the ability to lead effectively in a multi-layered organization. The role requires a candidate with a strong customer service orientation, an entrepreneurial spirit, and the flexibility to adapt to changing environments. A background in education, educational leadership, public administration, or a related field is essential, and the candidate should be adept at fostering a college-going culture and be well-versed in scholar information systems and financial aid regulations.
