Personal Lines Underwriter

Bridge Specialty Group is seeking a Personal Lines Underwriter to join our growing team in Morristown, NJ. The role reports to a manager and operates at an advanced level of underwriting expertise with minimal supervision. Responsibilities Review new business applications to confirm appropriate information for underwriting actions and identify exceptions or opportunities for additional coverages. Determine opportunities to operate outside of standard carrier and/or agency criteria and coordinate negotiations to resolve. Recommend acceptance or declination of risks based on application data and information gathered from broker and client. Review all risks for new and renewal business for any securities law practice exposure. Maintain workflow including creation and maintenance of reports, appeals, files, correspondence, or contacts as assigned. Recommend methods for promotion of policies or improvements to processes. Qualifications Proficient with MS Office Suite. 1–3 years’ experience in a similar underwriting position. Great attention to detail.
