The Role - Teacher in Afterschool Program You’ll independently lead afterschool programs for K-12 students. At BBX, Instructors own their classroom to support our after school program for our students. If you thrive with autonomy and want to build real teaching experience fast, this is your role. What You’ll Do Lead afterschool tutoring for ELA, MATH, SCIENCES for K-12 students. Develop lesson plans using our AI tools for the lessons. Facilitate hands-on science activities in chemistry, biology, and applied STEM Deliver targeted tutoring in literacy, math, and STEM for K-12 students Support students with learning differences using positive reinforcement strategies Maintain a safe, inclusive, high-energy learning environment Handle classroom setup, materials, and basic inventory Communicate student updates to parents and caregivers as directed Attend team check-ins and required BBX training sessions What We Are Looking For High school diploma required In Progress or Completed Bachelor's in STEM or related field preferred Experience in Education or EdTech industry will be considered Prior experience in an educational setting required — tutoring centers (Kumon, Sylvan, etc.), STEM camps, learning academies, or afterschool programs qualify Understanding of Neurodiversity learning needs and support Comfortable managing a classroom independently Strong communicator with students, parents, and teammates Reliable, adaptable, and mission-aligned Familiarity with FLL, FTC, or robotics competitions is a strong plus Hands-on chemistry or biology project experience is a plus Compensation Band Compensation is determined based on various factors such as: Length of Professional Teaching/Tutoring Experience Highest level of education Bachelors and/or Master degree in Education or related field Current or Past licenses in Texas or any other state in the field of education Length of Experience working in/with ISD Experience working with Neuro Diverse students What You Will Get Flexible part-time schedule between 4 PM-7 PM and/or Saturday (9 AM - 2 PM) Structured onboarding and ongoing support Access to cutting-edge STEM tools and curriculum Employee discounts through ADP A mission-driven team invested in your growth EQUAL OPPORTUNITY BBX is an equal opportunity employer.
