CNC Machine Operator

CNC MACHINIST (Operator) - Industrial Manufacturing 

Location: Nashville, TN
Pay: $31.00 - $35.00 per hour

We are seeking a motivated CNC Operator to join our team in Nashville, Tennessee . In this role, you will help produce premium-quality, high-precision carbide cutting tools using specialized CNC tool grinding equipment. What You'll Do

• Set up CNC machines and adjust offsets as required.
• Operate CNC grinding equipment to manufacture precision cutting tools.
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Perform visual inspections and quality checks using precision measuring tools.
• Monitor product quality throughout the manufacturing process.
• Identify and communicate quality concerns to programmers and production leadership.
• Conduct daily equipment inspections to ensure machine functionality.
• Follow established operating procedures, quality standards, and safety protocols.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Strong math skills, including:
  • Converting metric measurements to inches.
  • Converting decimals to fractions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Basic communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.

Preferred

• 1-2 years of CNC Operator experience.
• Previous manufacturing experience.
• CNC programming experience.
• Machining certification or technical training.
• Knowledge of cutters, inserts, feeds, and speeds.
• Experience using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.

Physical Requirements
