We are seeking a dedicated Sterile Processing Technician to join our high-performing team. This position requires a commitment to maintaining the highest quality of care and service in a fast-paced environment.

Position Details

Schedule: 5x8 Days (06:00 - 14:30)

Assignment Length: 13 Weeks

Weekend Requirement: Yes

Call Requirement: No

Floating: May float to multiple locations within the region

Guaranteed Hours: 72 hours per 2 weeks (1 shift may be called off during this period)

Responsibilities

The Sterile Processing Technician will be responsible for:

• Ensuring the sterilization and preparation of surgical instruments and supplies
• Managing the supply inventory and accurately picking cases
• Maintaining compliance with health and safety guidelines
• Participating in a collaborative team environment, contributing to a culture of quality and continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years in sterile processing
• Certifications: CBSPD or IAHCSMM/HSPA required
• First Time Travelers: Accepted with the requisite experience

Unit Information

The Sterile Processing Department specializes in:

• Neuro, Ortho, robotics, and pediatrics
• Standard service lines including Urology, General, and GYN

The department is also a teaching environment, promoting continuous learning and development.

Orientation

• 3-day orientation on day shift, with arrival times as follows:
• Day 1: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
• Days 2 and 3: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
• Following orientation, the technician will transition to their contracted shift.
