Varstaff is looking for a Buyer III: Job Description
- Manage suppliers and procurement activities to support spaceflight systems development for Blue Origin.
- Prepare Requests for Proposal/Quote (RFP/RFQ), perform price analyses, and develop negotiation strategies.
- Create and manage various contract types, including long-term strategic agreements (LTAs), FFP, T&M, and cost-type contracts.
- Own the full procurement lifecycle from requisition through final invoice resolution.
- Ensure on-time, on-budget delivery of production materials meeting all technical performance requirements.
- Maintain knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), AS9100 standards, and engineering data/specifications.
- Demonstrate strong analytical, prioritization, and communication skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Aerospace/Space industry experience (specifically Avionics or Fluids components).
- Understanding of ITAR/EAR regulations.
- CPSM, CSCP, or PMP certification.
- Experience with Deltek Costpoint, Jira, and SharePoint.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or Finance with 5+ years of experience (or Master's degree with 3+ years of experience).
