Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift | 12-Hour Shifts (18:45–07:15) | 3x12 or 4x12 hours per week | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Cardiac Telemetry unit with a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Monitor, interpret, and manage cardiac dysrhythmias and telemetry readings
• Care for patients with diagnoses including cardiac arrhythmias, MI, ACS, heart failure, DKA, uncontrolled diabetes, post-heart catheterization, post-PPM, and post-ICD
• Administer and manage cardiac drips; no blood pressure titration required
• Utilize unit systems including EPIC, PYXIS, and SBAR for documentation and medication management
• Float to other units as required and contribute to a team-oriented environment with no charge nurses on unit

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in North Carolina or a valid Compact state license
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience with required Cardiac Telemetry experience
• Proficiency in IV insertion, telemetry monitoring, and interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications
• Willingness to float within or near the facility as needed
• Availability to work 8 weekend shifts per contract and 2 of 3 major holidays

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Step-Down, Telemetry/IMC, or Progressive Care unit experience
• Familiarity with EPIC electronic health records system
