PRN LPN

The Wound Care Center Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) works under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Provider to deliver wound‐related and basic nursing care to patients in compliance with all WCC and hospital policies, procedures, care and safety protocols, and Clinical Services Practice Guidelines. All duties are performed in accordance with Healogics policies, hospital policies, accrediting organizations, federal and state regulations, and Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) guidelines as applicable. Responsibilities Provide wound‑related patient care following Basic Life Support (BLS) and approved hospital protocols. Assist in vein clinic duties after Healogics Vein Clinic training; may help with intake and discharge. Assist with case management under RN direction in accordance with state regulations. Gather patient information and necessary equipment and supplies for the RN or provider. Report quality of care issues to the Clinical Nurse Manager. Communicate with team members regarding therapeutic interventions to ensure quality of care. Perform hyperbaric oxygen therapy duties after completing the required Healogics hyperbaric training. Possibly perform hyperbaric safety director duties after completing Healogics hyperbaric safety director training. Function as a Documentation Assistant (scribe) in accordance with Healogics policy. Perform other duties as delegated. Required Education, Experience, and Credentials High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED). Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program or state‑approved educational program. Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license in the state of practice that must be maintained throughout employment. At least two (2) years of experience as LPN/LVN, including at least one (1) year in a skilled nursing facility (SNF) or long‑term acute care hospital (LTACH) setting. Wound care experience preferred. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Demonstrated competency in Basic Life Support (BLS). Strong organization, prioritization, and time‑management skills. Basic knowledge of regulatory and accrediting requirements for healthcare organizations. Strong interpersonal, listening, and oral and written communication skills. Customer service skills and follow‑up skills. Ability to multitask and work in a fast‑paced environment. Ability to work with others and in a team environment. Problem‑solving skills. Ability to remain calm in all situations. Working knowledge of computerized nursing systems. Physical Demands Stationary position for extended periods (4 hours or more). Viewing computer screen for extended periods (4 hours or more). Keying frequently on a computer for 4 hours or more. Other tasks: moving, reading, communicating, writing, color perception, close, distance, and peripheral vision. Lifting/moving items up to 20 pounds; lifting/moving items up to 75 pounds with equipment assistance. Other tasks: pushing/pulling, bending/stooping, reaching/grasping/touching with hands. Work Environment Normal office environment. Indoor environment primarily. Patient care environment. Exposure to hazards such as blood‑borne pathogens, toxic chemicals, flammable explosive gases, mechanical equipment, and proximity to moving objects. Compensation The hourly rate for this position generally ranges between $28.48‑$37.51 per hour, depending on education, experience, geography, and operational needs. #J-18808-Ljbffr
