Restaurant General Manager

Job Description Job Description We are looking for a strong, hands-on Bar & Front of House General Manager to lead daily operations at a high-volume sports bar. This position is responsible for managing the front of house team, maintaining excellent guest service, driving bar performance, and ensuring smooth operations during busy game days, late nights, and special events. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, leads from the floor, understands high-volume bar operations, and can motivate a team while delivering an outstanding guest experience. Responsibilities Operations Management * Oversee all front of house and bar operations during service * Manage floor flow, seating, waitlists, and guest experience * Ensure fast, accurate, and friendly service in a high-volume environment * Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety standards throughout the venue * Monitor service quality and resolve guest concerns professionally and quickly * Coordinate with kitchen and bar teams to ensure smooth execution during peak hours and game-day rushes Bar Management * Supervise bartenders, servers, hosts, barbacks, and support staff * Monitor alcohol service and ensure compliance with all local and state regulations * Assist with liquor, beer, and supply inventory management * Help control pour costs, waste, and labor expenses * Support drink promotions, specials, and event programming Team Leadership * Hire, train, schedule, and coach FOH staff * Lead pre-shift meetings and communicate expectations clearly * Maintain accountability, professionalism, and positive team culture * Handle employee performance issues and coaching when necessary * Lead by example with urgency, energy, and strong floor presence Administrative Duties * Manage scheduling based on sales volume and events * Assist with cash handling and end-of-night reporting * Track labor goals and sales performance * Support ownership and upper management with operational goals and initiatives Qualifications * 3+ years of full service restaurant and bar management experience * Experience in a high-volume sports bar, nightclub, or restaurant preferred * Strong leadership and communication skills * Ability to multitask and stay composed under pressure * Knowledge of POS systems, scheduling software, and inventory controls * Flexible availability including nights, weekends, holidays, and major sporting events * TABC certification preferred What We're Looking For * High-energy leadership style * Strong guest-service mindset * Ability to manage large crowds and fast-paced shifts * Team-oriented attitude with strong accountability * Passion for hospitality, sports, and nightlife atmosphere Compensation & Benefits * Competitive salary * Bonus opportunities * Staff discounts * PTO and advancement opportunities * Fun, high-energy work environment Company Description ABOUT US Scores opened in 2004 and is a favorite spot in New Braunfels for all to come relax, enjoy great food, and visit with friends.
