Radiologic Technologist (X-Ray/Rad Tech) - Full-Time (Bridgewater, NJ)

Overview The Radiologic Technologist (X‑ray Tech) is responsible for all departmental functions aligned with the mission, vision, and goals of PM Pediatrics. This role provides clinical and administrative support in a pediatric urgent care setting and assists with primary patient care within scope under physician supervision. Job Responsibilities Provide clinical and administrative support for providers, patients, and office operations. Obtain medical history, patient vital signs, and intake. Prepare patients for radiological procedures and take x‑rays following established procedures for patient care and safety. Obtain quality diagnostic radiographs as requested by physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants. Ensure equipment is in good working condition and complies with applicable laws and regulations. Maintain and document daily quality control of radiology equipment at the start of shift. Document repeat exposures and parent holding log with pocket dosimeter read. Assist in radiology quality assurance program for radiography equipment. Immediately report any equipment malfunctions to management. Help patients in distress by promptly notifying medical staff of emergencies. Collect throat and nasal specimens and process samples for testing. Assist in processing laboratory testing of patient samples and routine QA testing. Apply splints, ace wraps and DME devices on patients. Provide patients with crutches and appropriate use education. Act as an integral part of the patient care team. Keep exam and x‑ray room stocked with adequate supplies. Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Maintain operations by following policies and procedures and reporting needed changes to management. Maintain safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures. Maintain patient confidence and protect operations by keeping patient care information confidential in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Enhance health care practice reputation by accepting ownership for new and challenging requests; exploring opportunities to add value. Assist patients with complaints and participate in service recovery when needed. Qualifications Graduate of a Radiologic Technologist program. Knowledge of medical practice and terminology, clinic processes, and procedures. Sound reasoning, judgment, and calmness in emergencies. Effective communication skills, verbal and non‑verbal. Knowledge of digital imaging. Knowledge of electronic health records (eCW preferred). Compensation $31 - $45 per hour (actual salaries may vary based on experience and location).
