ASSOCIATE PRINCIPAL/Activities Director/Coordinator of Work-Based Learning Program

Reports To: Nekoosa High School Principal

The Associate Principal will work closely with the building principal, school personnel, students, and families to build and maintain a positive, safe school climate based on restorative practices.


Professional Practice and Delivery of Service

Associate Principal


Working with all appropriate stakeholders the associate principal will be the primary person responsible for student discipline within a restorative framework.

Work with students, families, and when necessary, the school resource officer, to ensure the highest possible levels of student attendance.

Serve as the school assessment coordinator.

Assist the building principal and the instructional coach to support teachers in educator effectiveness.

The Associate Principal chooses and participates in professional growth that is aligned with his or her professional needs and aligned with the needs of the school, district, and/or students.

The Associate Principal engages in reflective thinking as an individual, as a team participant, or as a school and community member with the goal of improving professional practice and delivery of service.

Communicating Clearly and Accurately


Verbal and written communication is clear and appropriate to student's ages, backgrounds, needs, or levels of understanding. Associate Principal and student interactions show rapport that is grounded in mutual respect.

Maintaining Standards of Professional Practice


The Associate Principal adheres to his or her professional standards of practice, including issues surrounding confidentiality.

The Nekoosa School District
