If you are looking for a challenging, team-oriented environment in which you can put your expertise to work, then this is the place for you.Ensure all prescriptions are filled according to order and regulations, accurately and in a timely manner and proper packaging according to facility.Attributes Required:Work Ethic/Integrity – must possess intrinsic drive to excel coupled with values in line with company philosophyLeadership – ability to lead project teams to deadlines, while maintaining strong team orientationRelational – ability to build relationships with business unit management and become "trusted advisor"Strategy and Planning – ability to think ahead, plan and manage time efficientlyProblem Solving – ability to analyze causes and solve problems at both a strategic and functional levelTeam Oriented – ability to work effectively and collaboratively with all team membersEssential job functions (include the following):Accurately prepare medications for final dispensing to the patient, including filling, order entry, and packagingReview completed orders and cycle-fill medications to ensure prescriptions were filled correctlyVerify the legality and pharmaceutical feasibility of dispensing a drug based on patients' allergies, Incompatibilities with current medications, frequency of refills, etc.Interpret prescription orders, to include exercising professional judgment in determining whether to dispense a particular prescription, taking into account patient safety and legal limitations.Adhere to all Federal and State Board of Pharmacy regulationsAdhere to all applicable guidelines for compoundingTransfer prescriptions to other pharmacies as neededAnswer questions from patients, doctors, nurses, etc.Evaluate inventory levels and place orders when below parOn exception items, look up most cost-effective product to orderNotify customer/facility if product is out of stock and when the order can be filledRestock station supplies as needed - vials, cassettes, labels, delivery tickets, etc.Oversee the work of all technicians and give feedback to their supervisor regarding their performanceLog all error medication occurrencesOther essential functions and duties may be assigned as neededEducation and/or Certifications:Bachelor's Degree (Pharmacy) or PharmD. requiredState Pharmacist License required without restrictionsSkills and Qualifications:1+ years of related experienceAdvanced computer skills; pharmacy operations system experience preferred/requiredAbility to work independently and deliver to deadlinesAbility to solve problems with minimal directionGreat attention to detail and accuracyAbility to excel in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment working on multiple tasks simultaneously, while adhering to strict deadlinesQuality minded; motivated to seek out errors and inquire when something appears inaccurateMedical consulting experience preferredWork Environment:Ability to work flexible hoursWhat We Offer:Guardian provides employees with a comprehensive Total Rewards package, supporting our core value of, "Treat others as you would like to be treated."Compensation & Financial:Competitive pay401(k) with company matchFamily, Health & Insurance Benefits (Full-Time employees working 30+ hours/week only):Medical, Dental and VisionHealth Savings Accounts and Flexible Spending AccountsCompany-paid Basic Life and Accidental Death & DismembermentCompany-paid Long-Term Disability and optional Short-Term DisabilityVoluntary Employee and Dependent Life, Accident and Critical IllnessDependent Care Flexible Spending AccountsWellbeing:Employee Assistance Program (EAP)Guardian Angels (Employee assistance fund)Time Off:Paid holidays and sick daysGenerous vacation benefits based on years of serviceThe Guardian Difference:Our clients require pharmacy services that aren't "cookie cutter."
