This role involves providing care for patients undergoing childbirth and related procedures in a busy hospital setting, supporting a team of healthcare professionals on the 2nd floor unit. Job Details Position Description: Seeking L&D nurses with at least 4 years of experience, with a valid California license and BLS certification. The role involves delivering patient care for deliveries, Cesarean sections, and other obstetric cases. Required Qualifications: 4 years of experience, California license, BLS certification, and associated education and skill requirements. Schedule: 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. Unit Information: 10-bed Labor and Delivery unit, with a total staff of approximately 120 team members including charge nurses, RNs, CNAs, and sitters, operating primarily during day shifts with rotating weekends and on-call shifts. Responsibilities: Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to provide safe, effective obstetric care, monitor fetal and maternal status, assist with deliveries and C-sections, and adhere to unit policies and protocols. Additional Information: The unit utilizes Meditech/CPN electronic health records and maintains a patient-to-staff ratio compliant with California Title 22 standards.
