Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Department

Schedule: 07:00 PM - 07:30 AM

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Job Description: The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The RN provides direct patient care within the scope of practice and directs patient/family teaching while maintaining professional nursing care standards in the Telemetry unit. The Registered Nurse will communicate with physicians regarding changes in patient clinical conditions and respond swiftly to any alterations in treatment or patient status.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe and effective patient care.
• Utilize the nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Guide and educate patients and families on care practices.
• Oversee and direct the activities of other nursing personnel.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
• Adhere to EMTALA regulations and report any instances of child/adult abuse appropriately.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current and valid state RN License.
• BLS Certification.
• ACLS Certification.
• PALS Certification.
• NIHSS or Stroke Certification preferred.
• COVID vaccination/boosters preferred.
• Completion of BVP (MAB) training.
