Cook
Primary Duty: Cook will follow all applicable procedures to clean, prepare, and cook large batches of food that will be served to residents and guests.
Essential Job Functions:
- Other duties may be assigned.
- Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
- Cleans, cuts, prepares, and cooks meat, fish, or poultry to a safe temperature.
- Prepares and cooks various items according to menus, special dietary or nutritional requirements, or numbers of portions to be served.
- Adhere to food preparation, service, sanitation, and safety codes/procedures.
- Bakes breads, rolls, and pastries.
- Apportions and serves food to residents and guests.
- Comply with all policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent; no dietary experience required.
- Previous experience in a long?term care or hospital setting preferred.
- Must be able to relate professionally and positively with staff and healthcare facility executives utilizing excellent communication, interpersonal, presentation and management skills.
