Full-Charge Bookkeeper / Office Manager

APS is seeking an experienced Full-Charge Bookkeeper / Office Manager to join our clients team! This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on accounting professional who enjoys taking ownership, thrives in a stable work environment, and wants to be a valued part of a long-established company. This position is primarily accounting-focused (approximately 75%) with additional office management responsibilities (25%). You'll play a key role in maintaining the financial health of multiple companies while helping support the day-to-day operations of our office.

Pay: $30.00-$35.00+ per hour DOE

Location: Modesto, CA

Requirements:

• 3+ years full-charge bookkeeping and accounting experience
• Strong understanding of month-end close and general ledger accounting
• Self-motivated professional who takes ownership of their work
• Positive, flexible attitude with a willingness to jump in where needed
• Ability to work independently while leading and supporting others
• Comfortable collaborating with company ownership and leadership

Responsibilities:

• Maintain full-charge bookkeeping for multiple company entities
• Perform monthly financial close processes
• Complete bank reconciliations and journal entries
• Oversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions
• Coordinate with the companies outside CPA on tax and accounting matters
• Help manage daily office operations and provide leadership within the office
• Ensure accuracy, organization, and efficiency across accounting and administrative functions
