Registered Nurse - CVOR

Job Description

Job Summary:
Seeking experienced Registered Nurses for CVOR (Cardiovascular Operating Room) at a leading hospital in Asheville, NC. Candidates will provide specialized perioperative care to cardiac patients undergoing surgical procedures, ensuring optimal patient outcomes and safety.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and assess patients preoperatively, including review of medical history and current status.
• Assist in cardiac surgeries by monitoring and maintaining sterile fields and equipment.
• Administer medications, including IV therapies, and support intraoperative procedures such as arterial line, central line, and epidural placements.
• Ensure accurate documentation of patient care activities in Cerner system.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and respond to intraoperative needs.
• Support patient transport and assist with induction, intubation, and positioning for surgeries.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license with at least 2 years of current CVOR or critical care experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
• Strong critical thinking and excellent communication skills.
• Experience with GE Carescape monitoring equipment and Fuji ultrasound preferred.
