Job Summary:

The HVAC Lead Installer is responsible for managing and executing the removal and installation of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems for residential and commercial projects. This role requires technical expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to ensure installations are completed safely, efficiently, and to company and industry standards. The HVAC Lead Installer directs installation crews, coordinates with project managers, and provides hands-on installation support while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities and Duties:

·         Lead and supervise HVAC installation teams on residential and commercial projects

·         Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and manufacturer specifications

·         Install HVAC systems, including ductwork, piping, wiring, and controls, according to project requirements and building codes

·         Ensure all work meets company quality standards, safety regulations, and local codes

·         Coordinate with project managers, warehouse staff, and other trades to ensure timely completion of projects

·         Troubleshoot and resolve installation issues on-site

·         Train and mentor apprentice and junior installers

·         Maintain accurate records of materials used, job progress, and completion reports

·         Communicate effectively with customers regarding installation timelines, system operation, and maintenance requirements

·         Ensure tools, equipment, and company vehicles are properly maintained and stocked

·         Test, diagnose, and repair problems in the system and propose relevant solutions.

Qualification/Skills/Requirements:

·         High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or trade school certification preferred

·         Minimum 5 years of HVAC installation experience, with at least 2 years in a lead or supervisory role

·         EPA 608 certification required; NATE certification preferred

·         Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, installation procedures, and applicable building codes

·         Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

·         Excellent problem-solving skills

·         Displayed ability and willingness to mentor and lead apprentice HVAC Installers

·         Ability to be analytical and high attention to detail

·         Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in varied environments (indoor/outdoor, rooftops, crawl spaces, etc.)

·         Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends, as needed

·         Reliable attendance and punctuality

·         Commitment to safety practices and company policies

Travel:
