Sr. IT Project Manager (Infrastructure and Operations)

Apogee Services Inc.Position SummaryWe are seeking a Senior IT Project Manager to lead the delivery of complex technology initiatives, with a focus on Infrastructure and Operations (I&O). This role is responsible for driving successful project execution while partnering with technical and business teams to enhance system reliability, scalability, and operational effectiveness.In addition to delivery leadership, this role plays a key part in managing and prioritizing the infrastructure project backlog and contributing to the maturity of project management practices across IT.ResponsibilitiesProject DeliveryLead end-to-end delivery of infrastructure and operations initiatives (e.g., infrastructure upgrades, network enhancements, platform modernization, IT service management improvements)Define project scope, timelines, budgets, and deliverables in partnership with stakeholdersCoordinate cross-functional teams across infrastructure, network, security, and operationsManage risks, issues, and dependencies to ensure successful delivery with minimal business disruptionEnsure alignment with IT service management processes (change, incident, problem, release)Drive successful transition from project completion to steady-state operationsBacklog Management and PrioritizationPartner with Infrastructure and Operations leaders to manage and prioritize the infrastructure project backlogAlign initiatives with strategic priorities, operational needs, and resource capacitySupport sequencing and execution of work to maximize delivery efficiency and valueProvide visibility into backlog status, tradeoffs, and timelinesCollaboration and CommunicationServe as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, including IT leadership and business partnersProvide clear and consistent communication on project status, risks, and outcomesTranslate technical details into business-relevant insights to support decision-makingFacilitate alignment across teams and manage stakeholder expectationPMO and Continuous ImprovementContribute to the advancement of IT project management practices, standards, and toolsSupport improvements in project intake, backlog management, prioritization, and reportingPromote consistency, transparency, and accountability in delivery executionShare lessons learned and support continuous improvement effortsMentorship and Team SupportMentor and support project managers, technical leads, and business analysts as neededReinforce strong planning, execution, and communication practicesContribute to building a high-performing delivery cultureEducation & ExperienceRequired:Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, MIS, Business, or related fieldMinimum of 5 years of IT project management experience delivering complex technology initiativesDemonstrated experience leading infrastructure and operations-focused projectsStrong understanding of IT infrastructure, systems, and service delivery environmentsExperience managing or contributing to project backlogs, prioritization, or portfolio planningProven ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence without direct authorityExcellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skillsPreferred:PMP or equivalent certificationITIL, experience with IT service management frameworks, or M&AExperience with Agile or hybrid delivery approachesFamiliarity with tools such as Jira, ServiceNow, Azure DevOps, or MS ProjectExperience with change management tools and/or methodologiesWork EnvironmentThis position operates in a hybrid work environment, with a combination of on-site office presence and remote work. The role involves primarily sedentary work, with extended periods of sitting and frequent use of computers and standard office equipment.
